An unknown lady sitting on what is perhaps a 1912 Pope Motorcycle. She is posed in front of the porch of our building at 5-7 Bay Road, Brooklin Maine. If anyone knows who this lovely lady is, please let us know, we would love to identify her. Also, please share any information you may have about her awesome ride! Thank you! # brooklinMaine

This sweet mermaid is Pearl, our store mascot. She is well over a hundred years old, as is our building, Hall's Grange. Pearl is bundled up for the winter, feeling warm and cozy with a good book, Stuart Little. (By E. B. White, who lived in Brooklin Maine.) Pearl will drift in the bay in her tiny boat on a bed of reflected stars until summer when we reopen our shop, Treasures By The Sea. See you and Pearl in July, 2020. brooklinshop

Historic (1912) and absolutely lovely Friend Memorial Library in Brooklin, Maine is one of my favorite places on earth. The author, E.B. White, a longtime Brooklin resident, partially funded this charming library for many years. This little gem, an example of Greek Revival architecture, is caddy-corner from Brooklin's old Grange Hall (Circa 1890?) that is now our building, "Hall's Grange" # #1912
