That’s a wrap on the 5th installment of Fall Mayhem on The Farm! We couldn’t have asked for much better weather conditions. We ended up with 70 entries total. I really hoped for more, but some people had other commitments come up at the last minute and weren’t able to make it. We certainly weren’t lacking on tough competition and just all around great people though! The level of talent on hand was high to say the least. Even the B-mains for open late model and sprint were full of very fast drivers. I was pretty pleased overall with how the track raced all weekend. On Friday night it started out mostly bottom dominant, until ol’ Mike Fox found the top in the B-main and cleaned off a groove for us, then it was on from there! Yesterday we saw races won on the bottom and on the top at various times throughout the day. It doesn’t get much better than that in my book! I’m very grateful for each and every racer that came to support the event. As usual, we’ve already started making notes/plans for next year. We are talking about putting together a Spring race if we can make it work out as far as scheduling goes. Below are the podium finishers from all classes, as well as a few random photos. I also want to thank Greg Morrow with MR Kustoms once again for being the title sponsor for the Topless 50 program on Friday night, and Ross May with McAllister Racing for sponsoring the SC mod class. He and Isaac put on a show for sure. I also want to thank everyone who helped with the event, from watering duties, track prep, unexpectedly replacing one of the track lights right before the main, and several other things. Thanks to my wife Jennifer , mother-in-law Rose, and “queen Hayes” for keeping us all fed with fresh delicious food! So, mark your calendars for the first weekend of October next year and we’ll do it all again! Tell all of your racing buddies about us and bring them back next year too!
