Join the Wild Rivers Film Festival and the Chetco Community Public Library for a powerful and inspiring afternoon of storytelling, healing, and love at our next Afternoon Indie Series screening.

After the passing of her wife, lover, and life partner Carol Tierheimer, Joanie Lindenmeyer discovered a notebook documenting their extraordinary life together. That notebook became the foundation for NUN BETTER: An Amazing Love Story, turning Joanie into a best-selling author and inspiring audiences everywhere.
As Joanie traveled on book tours, people began sharing deeply personal stories surrounding sexual identity and religious hurt. Those heartfelt conversations led to the creation of the NUN BETTER trilogy, including JOYOUSLY FREE! and HEALING RELIGIOUS HURTS, co-written with Elizabeth Ann Atkins.
Now, in this moving film experience, Joanie shares her WHYs and HOWs behind living joyously free.
Filmmaker Michael Gorse and special guests will be present for a live Q&A following the screening.

The Wild Rivers Film Festival Young Filmmakers Workshop is designed for creative teens ready to explore storytelling, camera work, directing, acting, editing, and production in a real hands-on environment.

Students will work alongside experienced filmmakers while learning what it truly takes to bring a story to life on screen.

This is more than a workshop. It is an opportunity to build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and lifelong skills.
