Costume Art
The Met’s current exhibit is the most inspiring I had ever seen. Every piece of clothing draped on a form has a mirror face for you to reflect your own face onto it. Each selection has a muse from antiquity that gave away to a contemporary piece of clothing on the mannequin.
It positions fashion, as a critical medium, where the diversity of human bodies are recognized and celebrated.
I did not have this on my bucket list in life, but it became celebrated as that after I viewed this show .
