We have no doubt that some of you saw the article in today's RB Landmark newspaper and thought things were looking rather glum for the Strand. But there is one thing you need to know about the Strand crew, it may appear that we are down, but we can assure you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we are never out!

We are disappointed that the Fairview property is not going to work out, but we wish the crew at Rodriguez Auto Repair nothing but the best going forward.

But despite this new and unexpected twist, we are ready to move on! We are already in the process of securing a temporary space for our upcoming productions and have also taken significant steps toward finding a new permanent home.

The schedule mentioned in the article still stands and we are planning our next production for this coming September.

Our commitment to bringing the performing arts to Brookfield and the surrounding communities has not wavered and we hope that you will still stay with us as this roller-coaster ride is just beginning!

The Strand Theater project in Brookfield is planning out its fall programming now, although it lacks a permanent home.

Another lovely evening courtesy of us! When we checked the weather forecast on Thursday, it showed three straight evenings of rain so we chose to move our production indoors. We knew this would happen! Anyway, we will be performing Jesus Christ Superstar tonight at the Compassion Factor at 7:00 pm. We have a maximum capacity of 75 guests and the doors open at 6:00.

You have us to thank for the beautiful weather tonight! After a month of planning to do the show outside, Thursdays forecast of three days of rain, we decided to move Jesus Christ Superstar indoors across the street to The Compassion Factory. We have 75 seats inside and there is still plenty of room. You can’t beat free!

For Jesus Christ Superstar this weekend, we have 75 seats and that will be all we can fit so no need to bring chairs. Unfortunately, we will not be able to seat anymore than 75 at each performance. The doors will open at 6:00 each night.

We truly wanted to perform Jesus Christ Superstar outside this weekend, but the weather forecast has made it necessary for us to switch gears and present our show inside at the Compassion Factory (9210 Broadway in Brookfield). Fortunately, the Compassion Factory is next to the Compassion Garden so no additional travel will be necessary! While we are disappointed, now we’ll be performing on Broadway!

The group has created another outstanding production and you won't want to miss it! We'll see you there!

The Strand and Glaser Players, in cooperation with the Compassion Factory, present our inaugural production! We will be performing the Andrew Lloyd Weber - Tim Rice musical Jesus Christ Superstar on May 15, 16 & 17 in the Compassion Garden at the northwest corner of Washington and Grand Boulevard right at the Veteran’s Memorial Circle. The show will begin each evening at 7:00 pm and is being presented free of charge! Bring you lawn chairs, blankets and coolers and join us! Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more info!

Our arrangements for the rights to our next show have not been finalized so we are unable to announce specifically what show we are going to do yet, but we need to get everything ready so we are still going to have auditions tomorrow night, Monday April 6 at 7:00 pm at the Share Food Share Love Food Pantry, 9030 Brookfield Avenue in Brookfield. If you cannot make it tomorrow night, but would still like to participate, please email us at [email protected] and let us know and we will make arrangements with you. Casting will be announced on April 13 and the performances will be May 15, 16 and 17.

We will be casting everyone who wishes to participate, so if you, or someone you know, has always wanted to be on stage, this is a great opportunity.

We will also have many behind the scenes roles so if performing isn't your thing, you can still be a part of this exciting promotion. You can email us at the address above to let us know.
