Merry Everything! This vintage-style card has a three-dimensional watercolored sleigh, highlighted with clear glaze. I love the old-fashioned pattern on the card stock and matted it against a matching red card stock. I then added the “merry everything” sentiment on a banner strip of cream colored card stock. It’s a fun winter card for anyone!

This or That? Which one would you buy: the card with the snowflake background or the winter trees?

Both cards have similar details, including metal brads to adhere the stamped sentiment, hand-glittered accents, and brown inked edges. The snowmen themselves are labor-intensive. They are made on a manual die-cut machine, and each layer of card stock and glitter paper is pressed through the machine into the shape of a snowman and then glued with a precision glue adhesive. I think they came out adorable!

Wishing merriment and peace to you this coming holiday season. I started with gorgeous patterned papers of poinsettias in varying shades of pink and red, double-matted onto red and deep green cardstock, and added the final touch: a metallic red sentiment glued onto a white glittered banner.

My first Christmas card of the craft season. I used the nontraditional colors of black, sliver, a soft grey and white snowflake patterned paper with silver glitter cardstock strips, and a hand made embellished snowflake. Sometimes you want an original, one-of-a-kind card, and this is it.

Some cardmakers are inspirated by a new stamp or die cut. My starting point for my new Christmas and Holiday greeting cards this year is simple: pretty patterned papers in nontraditional colors.

Some cards will be part of my $2.00 card bin, while the others will be priced appropriately for the time, design, embellishments, and sentiments used. I can’t wait to show you the finished cards, but first I gotta make ‘em!

I made a few Hanukkah cards for the upcoming craft shows. I drew inspiration from the patterned papers’ colors, and I added clear and white sequins for a little pop, and then added dimensal adhesive for 3D layers. Hanukkah cards aren’t quite the big seller for me because I do a lot of church craft shows, but there is always interest in them.

I began with beautiful patterned paper. I then used metal findings and ribbon with metallic silver thread; each journal has a satin bookmark, and the inside covers are bound with cardstock and more satin ribbon. Should I make more of them for craft shows?

What's on your desk? Here's mine: supplies for altered notebooks — just the basics. I cover notebooks with pretty paper and adhere tear tape, use cardstock on the inside of the notebook, add strips of black satin ribbon for the binding and bookmarks — and the last step is embellishing the books with handmade embellishments, jewelry, or stamped sentiments.

It's what I do for craft shows, and it's always popular.
