looking at the Forest Heritage
Center’s first museum diorama. I
almost went the wrong way in the museum, but thankfully signage pointed me to the beginning of the exhibits. It is exciting to begin learning about the history of forestry, especially since it is so important to the area. Even Fort Towson needed wood for construction, fire fuel, and many other items. I will write again when I can.

Our September 1st Saturday will showcase our local woodworking artisans. Their art will be on display/available for purchase, and visitors will have the opportunity to see our local club members demonstrate their skills!

The FHC is proud to welcome back “A Gathering of Cones,” by Alfred K. Francis. This beautiful piece was discovered in the Idabel Public Library and they were gracious enough to return it to its rightful home♥️🌲
