If you’ve ever wondered what "handmade" really means, you’ll find the answer beneath the treetops this fall.

The Beavers Bend Folk Festival is built on tradition. It’s the sound of folk music drifting through the trees and the sight of skilled hands bringing raw materials to life. This is a celebration of creativity you can actually reach out and touch.

Step away from the "busy" and into a tradition that celebrates the slow, the steady, and the beautiful. We’ll see you in the forest!

Good morning friends!

We are looking for a new or gently used classroom rug or foldable tumbling mat (preferably nature themed) but solid green, brown, yellow or blue could work. Our education corner has been used nonstop since Christmas and it’s time to retire what we have.

It’s easy to see why the Beavers Bend Folk Festival has become a tradition for so many families. There’s something special about watching a master woodturner at work or sharing a meal in the crisp autumn air. It’s a weekend where we celebrate not just what we make, but why we make it.

We’re currently looking for makers and demonstrators who want to share their passion with our community. If that’s you, please reach out. We’d be honored to have you!

And if you’re planning to attend, take this as your friendly reminder that spots fill up quickly, so start planning your trip now. More details can be found here: https://okfhc.org/events/folk-festival/

If you’re headed to the park this June, you probably already know how beautiful the trees are. But do you know the stories they hold?

Our First Saturday programs are designed to turn simply visiting a museum into sharing an adventure. This month, bring the whole crew by to explore, touch, and learn. Whether it’s marveling at our world-class dioramas or jumping into a hands-on activity, we love watching that spark of wonder light up in guests of all ages.

It’s the perfect, meaningful addition to your summer itinerary. Come see the forest through new eyes! Visit our website for more information: https://okfhc.org/
