🎶 Some musical moments deserve to live beyond the room.

There's something special about what happens at Rose Rock Sessions. The intimacy of the room, the connection between artist and audience, and the stories behind the songs create performances that can't quite be recreated in a traditional recording studio.

Many of the songs in our archive may never be released on public streaming platforms…and we've even heard from fans that their favorite versions of certain songs are the ones we captured live at Rose Rock.

That's what makes our membership community so special.

This Sunday, we're introducing Soundscapes at Rose Rock, and if you're wondering exactly what that is, you're probably not alone!
Soundscapes brings together classical guitar and crystal singing bowls for an immersive live music experience that's a little difficult to describe until you've experienced it.

The guitar brings beautiful melodies and harmonies, while the singing bowls create rich, resonant tones that seem to fill the entire room. Together, they create something peaceful, atmospheric, and completely different from a traditional concert.

And here's the thing: You don't have to be into meditation, sound baths, or even classical music to enjoy it.

You just have to be willing to try something different.

We've all gotten pretty good at filling every quiet moment of our lives with something. Soundscapes is an invitation to do the opposite. It’s like a reset for your central nervous system.

Meet Jake Tankersley!

We wanted you to get to know Jake a little more before his Rose Rock Session next week. We asked him a few questions, and his answers have us even more excited to see what he will bring to the room.

1. What is a song that made you want to become a songwriter?
“I’m going to say song that inspired me to become a songwriter is Not in Nottingham by Roger Miller. I remember being 5 years old watching Disneys Robin Hood. Miller was the animated rooster on there that sang and narrated the movie. Around the midway point there’s a difficult moment where the Township of Nottingham had met the worst of the times due to overtaxation from Prince John as he stepped in shoes to big for him to fill as his brother King Richard was off at war defending Jerusalem and the Christian Faith during the Crusades. What a deep movie for a kid to comprehend and take to heart. The way that song pulled emotions out of my heart is what solidified my love for songwriting without even really knowing it until later”

2. What are three songs you recommend everyone listen to?

"A song that I’m really excited to play this Rose Rock Session is probably going to be the song I wrote called Silhouette. Of course it’s a sad song, but what songwriter doesn’t like singing sad songs? .”

That's the idea behind Soundscapes, a new experience we're bringing to the Rose Rock listening room.

Imagine spending a Sunday afternoon surrounded by the beautiful sounds of classical guitar and crystal singing bowls. No distractions, no conversations competing with the music. Just an intimate room, warm lighting, and an opportunity to disconnect from the noise of everyday life.

It's part live performance, part immersive sound experience, and something a little different from anything else we're doing at Rose Rock.

You don't have to be a jazz fan to love a Jazz Night. 🎷

In fact, if you've never really listened to jazz, Thursday might be the perfect opportunity to give it a shot.

Jazz is one of those kinds of music that's hard to fully appreciate until you experience it live. There's an energy between the musicians that's difficult to capture in a recording. They're listening to each other, improvising, taking chances, and creating something together right in front of you.

And you don't have to understand a thing about music theory to enjoy it…you just have to be there.

That's one of the reasons we're bringing Jazz Nights to Rose Rock. We believe great music has a way of connecting with people…even when it's outside of what they normally listen to.

We're welcoming Jake Tankersley to Rose Rock!

An Oklahoma county singer-songwriter from Sand Springs, Jake's music is rooted in honest storytelling and traditional country influences.

You may recognize him from Season 26 of The Voice, where he earned at four-chair turn and made it all the way to the Playoffs. These days, he's performing full-time and recording new music in Nashville.

And this October, we get to welcome him home for a special night at Rose Rock.

Jazz is coming to Rose Rock. 🎷

From the beginning, we've wanted Rose Rock to be more than a place for our recorded Sessions. We want this little room to be a place where people can experience great music the way it deserves to be heard—up close, without distractions, and surrounded by people who are intentionally listening.

Jazz might be one of the best possible fits for that.

There's something completely different about watching great jazz musicians just a few feet away from you—seeing them communicate, improvise, take chances, and create something together that will never happen exactly the same way again.

That's what Rose Rock Jazz Nights are about.
