Look at this! "Ghost Riders" went to it's new home today! This commission piece is 20x24 and based off the song "Ghost Riders In The Sky". FYI...this song was written and first recorded in the 1940's by a park ranger named Stan Jones who worked in Death Valley. It is based off Native American and cowboy folklore and real events. The real event happened on 1889 where several cowboys lost their lives in a stampede on Texas that is now called Stampede Mesa. Some of the old cowboys told Stan of the tragic stampede which he mixed with Native American beliefs of the after life and tossed in a little life lesson and this song came to life.

Show/Market season is getting ready to take off! I'm going to be all over the place!🥰 The first public event will be The Bristow Tabouleh Fest on May 9th. Then a couple of weekends at the Bristow, OK Artisans and Gardeners Market and third Sunday at Bristow all things farm related swap . May 30th will be Ag Palooza at Stockyard City in OKC. I'll be in the Made In Oklahoma section. June 5th and 6th will be in Bixby at Rummage At The Ranch. June 13th will be in Stroud at Summer fest. I have many more exciting things lined up through the rest of the year so, be on the look out for upcoming dates and times. I hope to see you all out and about this summer 💞

In order to teach, one must learn (I'm sure somebody famous had to have said that). So, today I learned how to draw a hummingbird. Is it perfect??? No. Do I love it???? Yes! Come to the Bristow Creative Arts Center Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. or Thursday at 5:30 and let me teach you what I've learned. The classes last about an hour and are for everyone, no matter age or skill level.
