Introducing the 2026–2027 Season of the Allegro Community Players: THE STORIES WE TELL

Every life is a story. Some are written in letters. Some are shared around a table. Some are sung from a stage. And some are stories we tell ourselves until we finally find the courage to tell a different one.

This season, the Allegro Community Players invite you to explore The Stories We Tell. Stories about who we are, who we hope to become, the connections that shape us, and the moments that remind us that no story is meant to be lived alone.

Our season begins with a story told almost entirely through letters. Daddy Long Legs follows an imaginative young woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious benefactor gives her the opportunity to attend college. As she writes about her new life, her dreams, and the person she is becoming, a correspondence unfolds that changes both of their lives. It’s a story about discovering your voice, and discovering who you might become when someone believes in you.

For the holidays, we’re putting the traditional storybook aside and creating one of our own. A Very Merry Cabaret, with Triune Entertainment LLC, will bring together music, laughter, memories, and a little holiday magic for an evening that celebrates the stories we share this time of year. Because sometimes the best stories aren’t found in a script; they’re found in the songs we sing, the traditions we keep, and the people gathered around us.

Our season closes with a powerful story about connection, belonging, and the stories we create about ourselves and each other. Dear Evan Hansen asks what happens when the desire to be seen and understood collides with the stories we tell and the stories others choose to believe. It’s a moving reminder that every person has a story, and that sometimes the smallest act of truly seeing someone can change everything.

We can’t wait to release the cast list and get moving on this incredible show!

Broadway and the West End are coming to the DMV! Triune Entertainment LLC is thrilled to announce the world premiere of the highly anticipated new musical: “Snow White and Me!” From the team of Phil LaZebnik ("The Prince of Egypt," "Mulan," "The Road to El Dorado") and Pippa Cleary ("The Great British Bake-off"), Triune is a partner in the the U.S. Development team, producing this special production directed by Matt Moore. The story follows two girls from the real world as they tumble into the topsy turvy world of the Grimm Brothers fairytale Kingdom, ruled by the wicked Queen Endora. But can the Prince Who’s Fated To Fail finally get to Snow White in time? And will they ever be able to rewrite the storybook ending? Full of catchy, original songs, this is a family musical for everyone to enjoy! Auditions will take place in October 2026 and performances will be February 26 - March 14, 2027.

Lazebnik describes his excitement for the release by saying, “I couldn’t be more excited that Triune Entertainment is going to present the professional premiere of “Snow White and Me” in the United States. I first learned of Triune’s commitment to excellence and its wonderful commitment to quality family theatre when they approached Stephen Schwartz and me about putting on The Prince of Egypt. As I saw the care and professionalism with which Triune was producing our show, I became convinced that they would be the perfect theatre to premiere Snow White and Me. I can't wait for opening night. I’ll be there!”

In addition to “Snow White and Me,” Triune’s 2026-2027 season includes “Finding Neverland” October 22-November 1 2026, “A Very Merry Cabaret” December 18-20, and “Puffs” in June 2027.
