Bristol Art Museum The BIGGEST little art museum in the East Bay! Showcasing the best local art plus classes for all! 🎨 BAM is a non-profit organization, founded in 1963.

The Bristol Art Museum, is located at 10 Wardwell Street in historic downtown Bristol, RI, with off-site community gallery space at the Rogers Free Library. The Museum serves the local East Bay community and Southern New England, offering an array of diverse, year round exhibitions and programs to encourage the creation, promotion, and appreciation of the arts. Listening is the first step toward understanding.

Did you know that RI holds a piece of Wampum in the state archives?
This image is of the wampum which was donated to the State Archives in 2005 and was created by Daughters of the Red-Tail Hawk descendant of Chief Strong Horse, Sachem of the Algonquins. This item is a  whale-shaped wampum (shell) based on an ancient tribal (Narragansett) design.
