Something I came across today as I was scrolling through some stuff during breakfast. Although there are so many varying opinions on this, we may never know the whole truth. My view on it has always been that Stan Lee was more of a showman and presenter than a creative force. Based on Stan Lee's stories about the creation of the Silver Surfer and Jack Kirby's work on the Fourth World at DC, I personally feel that Lee's contributions are inflated a bit. That just my thought, I personally think of Lee as one of the greatest showmen and presenters rather than a creative force.

Test page of the new workflow with my primary programs being Procreate and Clip Studio. It is... Adequate. I have loved Procreate as a Paint option and added some badass brushes. Lettering and finishing in Clip Studio is a bit of another story. I have heard great things about earlier versions of the program, but what I have gathered is that the more recent versions of it have been gutted a bit and doesn't provide quite the same abilities. Either way, I am getting there Maybe by the time I through another issue we will be able to do conventions again...

Getting some artwork in tonight. A potential label I made into a poster and a more Christmas themed one I worked on and might see if I can make available if there are any comic events to do come that time.

So figure I would post a "State of the Tangent" address now that we're in a new year and getting lots of balls rolling and I might actually keep them rolling. For the five people who follow this page... So here we go.

The last year was weird. The world lost its collective s**t and I was no exception. We spent a lot of time keeping it together and just trying to get better. At the end of the year I began the process of being more official and professional about Mead-making and turning that into a career beyond making beer. Not about to quit brewery work, but I definitely am excited about where that could go as a side project.
As for art... That was probably the most affected by my personal issues. Given the nature of problems, I agreed to a number of restrictions on my electronic access. I do not have access to my laptop and my other devices are monitored by software. Not impossible hurdles to overcome, but it definitely creates some interesting challenges and limitations. That on top of the pandemic we are living through... I really have spent more time figuring out these issues than anything.
So going forward... It is a good question. While I figure out all of these technical issues, I will continue to draw and hopefully post more content. I do not plan to get too gun-ho until we can actually do some conventions or whatever, but it would be awesome to have some goals to work towards. Ideally, I will be at full capability at some point. When s**t the fan last February and I was at my lowest, I voluntarily agreed to a lot of restrictions and went to therapy. It was something I agreed to with the idea I could get better and eventually would make such measures irrelevant. Progress is being made, but it will take some more time.
Really about it. Just getting back on track and figuring this stuff out right now

Batman drawing I have been toying with. Copic markers need a bit of upkeep, something I have really been putting off since COVID hit. A lot of stuff has been put off since COVID hit. It is about time to get back to work though.

Some new stuff in the pipeline. Basically giving Eiodolon a Buster sword. Probably because Krista is playing the Final Fantasy VII, although I am figuring out a way to make it a thing for the character.
