Our Story
On January 4, 2014, we started with a fabulous day of classes to benefit the Carousel Museum, followed by an evening of music and dancing, plus vendors all day. We are now two days full of amazing events, performances, and classes that are sure to entertain, educate, and amaze!

Despite Brass Ring taking a hiatus this year, I already have that day blocked off on my calendar. I seems a shame to just sit home!
Is there anyone (relatively) local to the Carousel Museum who might like to pay a visit there anyhow on March 14th and then descend upon a restaurant for dinner after?
For those wanting a little head start on your attire before our event in March, stop in at Fashionista in New Haven!
Purchase and rentals available, and while I was there this morning a fine couple was negotiating for a gray tailcoat/top hat/ascot ensemble for himself and a sequined "flapper" dress for herself.
A fine establishment, run by two fine ladies as quirky and eclectic as their wares!

Something tells me at least one of these kids isn't buying it.
So, what new costuming ideas are YOU working on for this year?
I may need this.
In other news, Brass Ring tickets go on sale Monday!
Should we plan a fall visit?
Busily preparing for Brass Ring Academy this weekend. (
https://www.facebook.com/BrassRingCT/?ref=br_rs) Two quick questions for friends, fans, and followers planning to attend the CT event.
First, as far as Canes Enable goes, I estimate that I have between 1500-2000 total items in stock. I calculate that there will be enough setup space for roughly 500 pieces. In choosing what to bring, is there anything specific you might be looking for? Carved Folk Art and figural Canes? Higher end antiques? Weapon canes? Sparring canes? Staffs? Truncheons? Shillelaghs and Blackthorns? Gadget and system canes? Rare high end gentlemen's umbrellas? Modern floral umbrellas? Victorian or Edwardian umbrellas or parasols? Pagodas? Double Canopies? En tout cas? Let me know if you have any preference. Otherwise, I am likely to bring a random assortment. (But there will be more in two weeks time for Wicked Faire 2018).
Second question, has to do with my presentations and workshops listed on the schedule. Could I get a show of hands for how many of you are planning to participate in the Saturday morning workshop addressing Suffragettes, Suffrajitsu, and Kicking Ass in a Corset. As well as how many of you are hoping to participate in the Sunday Morning workshop on a exploration of the history and use of swordcanes / swordsticks? If I have a better idea of how many people are participating, I can better estimate how much training equipment I should bring along for these workshops.
Thank you for your time and attention. See you all on Saturday. Until then, I return you to your regularly scheduled program.

I'm having trouble using the group code when booking hotels online, the hotel information page says to 'use group code “Brass Ring”' but the group code input on the hotel's (Double Tree's) web site only accepts six characters. Is the group code only available over the phone?
