So I always say I’m gonna be better and I never am 😞 about half way though this I thought I should be documenting the process, but it was too late. Figured I’d just get the end.

A coworker has recently bought a sewing machine and has gotten into quilting. He’s watched a bunch of videos and made a few quilt tops and the word has got out to family and friends. They sent him a giant box of real silk kimonos from Japan that have been sitting in an attic for years. These very simple pouches were made from the belt of one… is that what they’re called? Should have googled that… anyway… I copied a pouch he had and kicked them up a few notches. More fun to come!

I’m at DisneyWorld on my way to Port Orleans for Beignets… a lady stops me and asks where I got my bag. ❤️ this will never get old. I made that bag ❤️ I tried not to cry right there.

It’s a pattern I made before I came down to Disney in June. Alice in wonderland Golden Afternoon Flowers. It’s my favorite ❤️

It never fails, as I set up, someone ALWAYS asks me, “you make all that stuff?” And it always blows my mind! 🤯

Are you telling me that YOU don’t make your stuff so you’re shocked others actually make theirs? Or is it a compliment in that it doesn’t look homemade? I’m never sure how to take that.

I’m the worst at posting, I swear!

The graduation chaos is over and normal life resumes. I’ve done a few shows here and there and have been really disappointed… but understand. The economy sucks. No one has money for cute non-essential things. I keep trying though, doing a show here and there. Because for many of us, the act is the therapy. The art calms us… but then what do we do with all this stuff? 🤣 maybe we’ll get lucky! 🤞🏼🍀

Well… it’s that strange time of the year where the Christmas season is over and you think you have a break and then spring comes roaring it’s ugly head before you know it.

For 14 years I looked forward to hockey season. For 14 years I knew my son’s last high school game would come. I never dreamed in a million years this is how the high school experience would end.

What I also never anticipated, are the friends we would meet along the way. The friends that are like family, friends that I would do anything for. When someone hurts your child, you learn who will ride beside you and those who turn their backs.

To the , you will always have me fighting in your corner! ❤️🏒
