Join us for a Wonderfull Sunday afternoon show on July 26th at 4:00 with Fabio Pirozzolo and Michael Rivard.

Bassist/sintir player Mike Rivard & percussionist/singer Fabio Pirozzolo have been playing together for over 5 years beginning with Grand Fatilla and continuing through the bands Sawaari and Club d'Elf. More recently they have been exploring the duo format of sintir and multi-percussion, with performances at the Omni Seaport Hotel and the Eustis Estate. As Rivard puts it, "we basically play whatever we feel like, which mostly involves trance-y grooves in weird time signatures. At the Omni we'd laugh at the puzzled faces of guests presented with not-your-ordinary hotel lobby music played on unusual instruments such as sintir, cajon, bendir & whatever Fabio brought with him that week. Folks dug it and we started attracting a crowd of mesmerized regulars, and for both of us it became pretty much our favorite gig." For this special performance at The Backyard expect a smorgasbord of Indian taals, trance music from North Africa and Italy, crazy-make-em-ups, and maybe Fabio will even sing a song or two?

Here we go again. Cops just pulled up about a noise complaint at The Backyard. Party to loud. I'm just chillin watching TV, it's my neighbors, that turned down their music at 9:00 so I could barley hear it three houses away. Why can one a-hole ruin everyone enjoying themselves.
