Our team is taking a little break for now, but before we go, we're wishing you all the best.

No matter what you do or do not celebrate, we send you love and warm wishes for a peaceful, delightful, and JOYful holiday season!

Thank you for a beautiful year of fruitful work, meaningful gatherings, and happy celebrations. We can't wait to see you again in 2024!

While we are closed to the public, we remain open to members and residents, as always (we open to the public again January 3).

Ahhh, we're definitely ready for some deep breaths and spaciousness in the schedule.

You are cordially invited to join us for movement and mantras in intenSati with Dawn this evening or some stretchy goodness and deep breathing in Yin Yoga with Sarah on Thursday.

Then--in the ultimate in workshop FUN, we have All Mixed Up! Handmade Gifts on Friday. Music, refreshments, and making gifts! We're stocking up to make and package sugar scrubs, bath salts, sweet little mixed media art tags, and gift card/note holders. It will be so good for our souls (and we might just keep some gifts for ourselves!)!

Well, Hello November!

Is 2023 really on the way out? It's hard to believe! You know what they say, "Time flies when you're having fun!"

We are SO excited about two of our new events this month!

November 10 is All Mixed Up! Handmade gifts! YES!!! We're mixing and making some handmade gifts together! All are welcome! This is a perfect opportunity to gift YOURSELF with a night of making some good stuff to keep! We won't tell.

On November 20 we kick off our Book Drive for Making Spirits Bright! This is going to be fun! Bring your books to Brighton Light House through December 20. Making Spirits Bright will distribute them with love and kindness at the end of the drive.

Woohoooo! Let's make sure 2023 goes out with a bang! See you soon!

Just dropping in for a friendly reminder to register for Canva 101 with Kathy King of Kathy King Strategies while we still have space! 🫶

Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Brighton Light House Birch Board Room.

Canva 101 will show us how to use the popular graphic design platform Canva to create beautiful, brand-specific content for your social media marketing strategy and more.

Perfect for beginner users of the platform, or experienced users who want to brush up on some new skills and the latest features. This is also a great opportunity for community group leaders to learn how to create content for distribution (think: all the pretty flyers).

Attendees are welcome to bring along their laptops to participate in real-time application of the skills shared during this session.

We're happy to offer a respite from the rest of the world. Beautiful, soul-filling spaces where you can come to work, learn, and grow.

Next week's Fall Festivus is all about celebrating the gifts of Fall!

So, of course, we had to bring back the beautiful green Eden Ridge Farms truck! We're so excited they said yes!

The truck will be photo-ready and parked at Brighton Light House throughout the weekend! Come for the Harvest Party on Saturday--snap some photos, enjoy some cider, and join a Haunted History Tour! Grab some friends, and come again Sunday for Move and Be Moved and . . . more photos! The options are endless!

We can't wait to celebrate Fall with you!

In partnership with Yoga Strong Foundation and Lake Trust Credit Union, we bring you Move and Be Moved: A Day of Service and Gratitude featuring movement, connection, and creativity to support Yoga Strong, Bountiful Harvest, Work Skills Corporation, and LACASA.

Move and Be Moved provides a unique opportunity for you to move your body and share your heart in support of local organizations making a difference in the community.

We’re offering eight different movement classes as well as fleece blanket making sessions. In these sessions, Move and Be Moved guests will assemble blankets that will be donated to LACASA.

Featured artwork from the Workskills Artisan Shop will be on display and for sale throughout the day.

Both Good Sense Coffee and Cuernos Chuecos will be onsite serving up delicious food and drinks. We are so excited to move and be moved with you!

It's time to SHINE a LIGHT on one of our newer members. We have so enjoyed getting to know Emily Stone! She is on a mission to help support women through what can be an overwhelming time in life---pre-conception, conception, birth, and the time that follows. Her overall enthusiasm, passion for making change, and compassion for people make her the perfect person for this job!

Emily Stone is a mom of 3 boys, an educator, and a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach who LOVES listening to women share their experiences and feelings around pregnancy, birth, & breastfeeding.

She founded Empowered Bumps and B***s to provide holistic, modern support for women navigating fertility, pregnancy, birth & beyond.

Women local to Brighton are invited to BLH the third Thursday of each month for a in-person support circle. Emily also hosts the podcast, “Spilling the Milk: Breastfeeding Chats.”

We did it! Our 2022 Heart Connected Retreat is complete!

It's hard to believe it's been five years since we last gathered, but it's true. Brighton Light House pulled out all the stops with its warmth, beauty, and functionality. We circled, made art, practiced yoga, listened to an AMAZING local performer, had an incredible dinner by candlelight, and left with full hearts.

I am so grateful to all who attended and participated in ways big and small. It's been a long time coming and very much worth the wait. Thank you, thank you, thank you---Kelly Harper for your gorgeous images, Miranda for your scrumptious concotions, Lala's for your gorgeous and delectable food, Nicole for sharing your gifts, Francie Bowman for your beautiful voice, and Ananda Wellness, Sharon, Kathleen, and Tricia, and the entire BLH team! Hooray!

We are so excited to welcome back Julee Cowher and Lisa Wheeler to explore the beauty that fall brings through nature journaling and Gelli printing at the Brighton Light House THIS SATURDAY 9:30-11:30 AM!

This session is for children ages 6-10. Gelli plate printing is fun and inspiring! Your children will have a great time learning alongside such excellent teachers.

Julee and Lisa can’t wait to wonder, explore and create with friends!

Happy October!

Fall is such a great time to root into new (and old) practices. We're pretty excited about all the great programs we've carefully brewed for the month--from meditation to art to oils and just a dash of kid stuff with our first Creative Naturalist Class on October 22.

Open Art Studio is back this month too!

We cannot wait to kick off November with our first Brighton Light House + Heart Connected Retreat!
