“May Day! May Day!” Urgent Art: A Call to Action for the Environment! Join us on May 3 as we sound the alarm on the urgent issues threatening our planet.

The arts community comes together to raise awareness about the devastating impact of human activities on the environment. Through art, we highlight the struggles of our natural world, from plastic pollution to the decline of our bee populations.

Featured Themes: - The devastating effects of plastic waste on our ecosystems - The plight of bees and beekeepers in a world threatened by chemicals and habitat loss - The contrast between the beauty of nature and the harm caused by human activities

Participating Organizations: - NEST Artist, Local arts community - Cesar A. Batalla School. Art exhibitions showcasing works inspired by environmental themes - Interactive installations and performances - Student art displays from Cesar Batalla School.

Dear friends,

As many of you know the beloved Bloodroot restaurant has closed its doors.

Gather together and come pick up a little bit of history and many vintage treasures at the upcoming sale of the contents of the restaurant.

Gorgeous vintage china and tableware, vintage and antique furniture, art and Bloodroot mementos, hundreds of items of cookware, posters and pamphlets celebrating the spirit and mission of the restaurant, looms, baskets, lighting, butcher block tables, baker's racks, tools, hardware, vintage metal cabinets, books, art and restaurant supplies - plus much much more.

MODERNvintage CT Estate Sales & Auctions LLC will be conducting the sale. We are still working on the exact date, but it will probably be sometime in mid March. As soon as we have the date, we’ll be sending another email.
