Nicole Kofoed is the owner of & found, a Bridgeport studio and shop offering curated vintage, antique, and artisan-made furnishings. With a B.A. in Interior Design and experience at New York firms including Sheila Bridges Design and Brockschmidt & Coleman, Nicole started & found in 2008 after experiencing firsthand how distinctive, beautifully crafted pieces can transform a space while offering a more sustainable way to furnish a home.

Meet the Art + Design designers and join us on Saturday, October 3 at 5 PM for the gala opening reception to benefit Mercy Learning Center.

Interior Designer Shawna Feeley has made her mark expertly crafting luxury homes for builders, architects and homeowners for over 18 years. Her designs have won a multitude of CT Home Builder Industry (HOBI) awards, and she was honored to be selected to judge the 2021, 2023, 2025 and this year’s 2026 HOBIs. Specializing in interior architecture and luxurious kitchens, Shawna’s signature aesthetic incorporates layering of high-end amenities into beautiful spaces. She loves creating 3D renderings and 2D sketches to involve her clients in a collaborative process. Shawna is self-taught and skilled as a seamstress, painter, potter, candlemaker, comedian and handyman.

Shawna Feeley’s CV includes senior roles at several prestigious builders in Westport and Greenwich. Her design experience has complemented project work with a variety of esteemed architects, including Rachelle Roll and Tanner White. While she continues to define her brand, she is happy to be touted as a “a designer who actually knows how to build” from well-respected builders and architects.

Tammy Bolden is an award-winning interior designer, entrepreneur, and community advocate. A native of NJ, Tammy earned a BFA in Interior Design as well as a BS in Marketing from Kean University. In 2011, Tammy founded Bold Interior Designs following several years working with NYC area designers with discerning clienteles. Her work is distinguished by thoughtful, client-centered design solutions that honor heritage, elevate everyday living, and strengthen the relationship between people and their environments. She has served on the Board of the ASID NJ Chapter and is a member of the NKBA. Tammy and her husband Todd recently relocated to Norwalk, CT after more than 30 years in Montclair, NJ where they raised their three children.

Meet the designers for this year's Art + Design event! Six local interior design professionals team up with Metro Art Studios artists to create a showcase of fine art and interior design in the Crown Gallery at Metro Art Studios to benefit Mercy Learning Center. With over 25 years of experience, Courtney Blanton is a recognized expert in designing exceptional residential spaces. A graduate of the University of Texas and Parsons School of Design, she refined her skills working with industry icons Victoria Hagan and Peter Dunham.

In 2009, Courtney founded Courtney Blanton Interiors, a boutique studio known for its personalized, thoughtful approach. The studio specializes in creating unique, functional spaces that reflect each client’s lifestyle, from detailed construction drawings to sourcing top vendors and managing projects from start to finish. Courtney Blanton Interiors handles projects of all sizes, ensuring every home is a true sanctuary that evolves with its inhabitants.

Courtney is also a licensed realtor, bringing a designer's eye to every stage of a client's search, from evaluating a property's potential to envisioning its transformation.

Beyond design, Courtney is deeply committed to making a positive impact on mental health, which inspired her to co-found The Hi, How Are You Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to educate young people worldwide about the importance of mental health and well-being through creative content, events and community-building programs.

Get ready for two incredible upcoming exhibitions at Metro Art Studios this Sunday!

Join us for "MAKE / SHIFT," juried by Rhonda Brown and Tom Grotta of browngrotta arts, which runs alongside our featured guest artist David Pollard presenting "The Character of Color".

Both exhibitions will run from August 9 to September 18, 2026, kicking off with an opening reception on August 9 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Metro Art Studios, located at 345 Railroad Ave in Bridgeport, CT.

The Character of Color: Featured Artist David Pollard
Opening Reception: Sunday, August 9, 1 to 3 PM

Metro Art Studios is delighted to have an exhibit of the work of David Pollard as Featured Artist, starting August 9. Pollard is a Stamford-based artist whose work bridges the graphic and painterly, drawing inspiration from mid-century modern design. After years of representational illustration, he shifted toward abstraction, exploring mood and emotion through dynamic brushwork, nuanced color, and typographic forms that hint at language while remaining open to interpretation. His evolving practice continues to push the boundaries of abstraction, inviting viewers to discover their own meaning within each piece.

The exhibit runs from May August 9 to September 18, 2026.

Opening Reception: Sunday, August 9, 1 to 3 PM

The Crown Gallery at Metro Arts Studios is proud to present Make/Shift, a national juried exhibit asks artists to explore the space where material, process, and intention converge. Artists are invited to submit work grounded in techniques and materials traditionally associated with functional craft—ceramics, fiber, glass, wood, basketry, and other hand-based practices—reimagined through a fine art lens. This exhibition considers what happens when utility gives way to concept and transformation. Artwork is made using the techniques or the materials traditionally associated with craft. Make/Shift is juried by Rhonda Brown and Tom Grotta, founders of browngrotta arts, which champions sculptural and mixed-media works with an emphasis on concept masterfully supported by technique.
