A quiet moment. A diner. Two people saying everything without saying much at all.

Revisiting Moonlight, directed by Barry Jenkins, and this scene still feels just as powerful. The intimacy, the stillness, the weight of what’s unspoken… it’s a masterclass in performance, cinematography, and storytelling. Every frame is intentional. Every glance carries history. It’s one of those films that doesn’t just tell a story, it lets you feel it.

This is why Moonlight continues to stand as such an important and beautifully crafted film, ten years later.

What’s your favorite moment in the film that stayed with you the most? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

Still thinking about last weekend’s incredible post screening conversation at the and hearing Riz Ahmed speak so passionately about this new take on .

This version feels urgent, intimate, and incredibly alive. It takes a story we think we know and finds something new and haunting inside of it. brings so much depth, vulnerability, and intensity to the role, and hearing him talk about why this story matters right now made the experience even more powerful.

If you love film, theater, Shakespeare, or stories that stay with you long after the credits roll, this is one worth seeking out and talking about with your people. Curious to hear what everyone thinks if you’ve seen it already!

What an incredible night at our screening of A Quiet Place: Day One! Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of film, community, conversation, and a little survival training. We loved seeing so many people come together to experience the film and connect afterward through networking and discussion.

A huge special thank you to for leading our interactive activity, “Run Quiet, Run Fast: Horror Survival Through Fitness and Science,” and helping us explore what it really takes to survive a horror movie through fitness, strategy, and science. You made the night so much fun and gave us all a new appreciation for just how prepared we’d need to be if those creatures ever showed up!
