Happy Resurrection Sunday!!

We had two great services at Bridge Point Fellowship BC. I don’t know that there was an empty seat in either service, lots of folks showing up to celebrate the risen Savior.

I love getting to do worship with the people I get to do it with! Thank you God for using me!

This was such a great experience. It wasn’t flashy. It was raw, but it was real!!

It is such an honor to get to do what we do. To be able to gather and just play worship music with my friends is SUPER cool, but it’s about so much more than that.

His presence was there, in that place! Thank you God for showing up and moving. Thank you for a church that comes together to spend time in prayer and worship. Thank you God for the opportunity to be a part of it!

Big shoutout to .music for his SVT/Noble ToneMatch preset for the HX Stomp (or the Helix Floor in my case). It’s the real deal.

This was also my first service using the U4 wireless in-ear monitors and the B-5RC wireless instrument setup.

I was tired of living my life chained down, and the God I serve is a chain breaker!! 🙌🏼

Bass sounded great and no interference on the IEMs or the bass.

🚨 Attention Line 6 Helix/HX users🚨

I’ve been following along as folks like Worship Tutorials, David Hislop, and others have been leveling up the game for guitarists with their new ToneMatch presets for guitar amps, but I have never seen anyone harness this technology for bassists.

Enter Jonah Lane.

Last night he released what is to my knowledge the very first ToneMatch preset for bass and it includes all of the good stuff. Spoiler alert… it’s really awesome!

Signal chain is: Avalon U5 > Noble Preamp > Ampeg SVT-CL > Ampeg SVT 6x10HLF > Neumann U47/Beyerdynamic M160 > Vintech 573 > Universal Audio 1176LN > Manley Massive Passive EQ > Avid MTRX > Pro Tools > Knif Audio Soma

I took what he had as a foundation and added/changed a few things to make it suit my needs a bit better. This was by far the absolute best bass tone I’ve ever heard coming from my Helix, and those of you that know me know that I love my Helix. I just played and played for hours last night… I couldn’t put my bass down.

If you are a bassist and you use an HX Stomp or a Helix, run don’t walk to snag this. This guy is a fellow worship bassist, and a bit of a bass tone mad scientist as it turns out. Pick up this preset from him and help support this and future efforts from him. Go follow him on the socials too!
