That’s going to wrap up our 2026 Chowder Cup. Isaac and I had a blast coaching this group and couldn’t be more thrilled with how the tournament went. Thank you to all the players and parents for making the commitment to us. We will see you guys next summer!

NORTH RIVER SUMMER HOCKEY IS BACK!
North river hockey is back and better than ever. With recruiting coming from all over the nation we’re looking for the best talent to help move along to the next level. During the tournament we’re interested in developing our players and preparing them to the best of their abilities in the coming year. With our coaching we have an array of connections. D1, D3, tier 1, 2, and 3 scouts will all be in attendance. So if you’re looking for a spot to call home next year, this makes this perfect opportunity for your career.

Our DMs are open to any questions you may have about the upcoming Boston Chowder cup, which is July 23rd to the 26th. We will have our coaches announced soon. There are plenty of spots of open, so reach out if interested!

Great way to honor George and his legacy.

The Maine Inferno Board of Directors would like to announce the creation of the George Bishop Memorial Scholarship in conjunction with tomorrow's Girls Hockey Night at Penobscot Ice Arena.



George was instrumental in the formation of the Maine Inferno and put countless hours into supporting youth hockey in the area. We feel this scholarship in his honor is a way to carry on his legacy for growing the game for our players.

in one week, it is GIRLS HOCKEY NIGHT in Brewer as the Pioneers open their third season.

Beginning in 2024, GIRLS HOCKEY NIGHT is forever IN MEMORY OF GEORGE BISHOP.

please join us on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Penobscot Ice Arena in Brewer for a 3:00 Varsity game followed by JV after.

The Penobscot Pioneers host Biddeford/Thornton Academy/Wells/Kennebunk of York County to open the new season.

We will honor the life of the man who helped save Penobscot County Youth & High School Ice Hockey and who advocated for the girls program so strongly so girls could play his favorite game.

Admission is $5 for all fans.

Our Junior A team had a great time at Chowder Cup! After being short on players in the first game, North River stormed back scoring 16 goals with 0 goals against in the remaining 2 games. These guys showcased themselves extremely well and played with tenacity, pace, and class. We were also fortunate enough to add Associate Head Coach Aaron Murray of the Northeast Generals (NAHL) on the bench. Props to Nick Vinson for being one of the tournament leaders for points!
