There are many different methods, mediums, and styles that can be used for our visual interpretation. This form of art began many years ago by the indigenous Maori people from New Zealand. They used poi to help with flexibility, strength in the hands and arms, and to improve coordination. At this point, it's still not terribly well known, but there are many people all over the world who do spin fire. We're a local group of fire spinners who intends to share our talents and skills at local events with people who are curious or interested in what we do. If you are interested, please send us an email or a private message. The 3rd Degree Burners include:
Teejay Dickman - Rope Dart, Fire Breathing, Fire Eating
Leah Graves - Staff, Hula Hoop, Fire Eating
Capri McCall - Hula Hoop, Fans, Fire Eating
Ashton McGeehon - Fans
Kayla Ori - Levi Wand, Fire Eating
Shane Sentelle - Poi, Staff, Fire Breathing
Jessalyn Irvin - Photography, Treasurer, PR
Performances are visually enhanced at night and we require an outdoor space. We will bring two-four people to provide us with "spotters" for safety precautions. We look forward to dazzle you!
