If you’ve been here recently you have probably noticed, Atlas has gained a new friend. Let me introduce Tripp, one of our newest red fox residents.

Tripp wasn’t planned but he is everything we could ever ask for. He shies away from people, and that is totally ok with us. We have been trying to get Atlas paired up with some of our other foxes, but it just hasn’t been working out, until now. Atlas and Tripp are perfect for each other. While there will not be any direct encounters with them, you will be able to see them during the tour portion of your encounter.

Evening kinkajou hangout session.

We have an agreement to work around each other and not with each other. Kinkajous are just one animal that you can’t completely trust. They are very unpredictable and have a heck of a bite when they want to.

Happy World Otter Day from our romp of 11 here.
Today is an awareness day focused on protecting otters and their habitats.
Who organizes this day? The International Otter Survival Fund, because our ecosystem relies on otters. They are a keystone and indicator species and we are so fortunate to be able to help raise awareness about habitat destruction, water pollution, poaching, and the illegal trade of these species every single day.

Enjoy some of my favorite pictures over the years ❤️🦦

Whew, what a morning we have had. When you see rotation and every device is yelling at you to take cover immediately, things can get a little chaotic. Thanks to our incredible team we were able to get all 149 animals secured in about 20 minutes. Thank you to our guests who were patient with us and had no problem taking shelter with us as we delayed some encounters.
Thinking of all those who are still in the path of this storm as it shifts.

Peekaboo. Lewis and Clark are growing up on us so fast. They are getting their raccoon personalities and are not wanting to hang out with me 24/7 anymore. Before we know it they will be moving out to the big raccoon enclosure.
