Academy 831 We are a non-competitive dance studio that offers Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary & Hip Hop to all ages & levels.

Our teachers are committed to providing quality instruction with an emphasis on building confidence & a lifelong love of dance. We offer tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop to all ages and levels. We are a high quality, non-competitive, family friendly dance studio offering classes for all ages and levels. We teach dancers useful life lessons they can use outside of the dance space. With our invested Leap N' Learn curriculum developed by a child psychologist, we teach dance from a "whole-child" perspective. Our mission at Academy 831 is to offer dedicated teachers committed to providing quality instruction with an emphasis on building confidence and a lifelong love of dance.

Sometimes a dancer is just one encouraging word away from trying again. 💙

Maybe they’re struggling with a new step, feeling unsure about joining in, or wondering if they can do something that looks a little too hard. And then a teacher offers a little reassurance, a helpful correction, or a simple, “You’ve got this. Try it one more time.”

Suddenly, they’re willing to try. And sometimes, they surprise themselves with what they can do. 🌟

That’s one of the things we love about teaching dance. We get to help kids work through the hard parts, celebrate the small wins, and discover that they’re capable of more than they thought. Not by expecting everything to come easily, but by giving them the support to keep going. 👏

You never know which little moment of encouragement might stick with a child long after class is over. 🫶

The first rehearsal might come with a few forgotten steps, nervous glances, and plenty of reminders about where to stand. By recital day, something has changed. 🎭

They’ve practiced showing up, working through the tricky parts, listening to one another, and trying again when things don’t go as planned. They’ve learned how to be part of a group, celebrate their classmates, and keep going even when something feels new or a little scary. 👏💙

And then comes that final bow. The smiles, the cheers, the proud faces in the audience. It’s such a special moment—not because every step was perfect, but because they did something they worked hard for, together. ✨

That’s one of the things we love most about recital. The performance is what everyone comes to see, but the growth along the way is just as worth celebrating. 💜
