Big feelings, little hearts, and BIG discoveries! 💚

Join us for The Feelings Detectives, a special parent + child workshop in partnership with EveryMind, designed to help little ones explore emotions, practice calming techniques, and build confidence through play!

Through hands-on activities inspired by A Little SPOT of Feelings, children and their grown-ups will learn valuable emotional skills together in a fun, supportive environment.

Little detectives, your next case is here. 🔍

The Feelings Detectives is a hands-on parent + child workshop from EveryMind. It's a private session at Check N' Play before we open for the day. Kids and their grown-ups spend an hour practicing how to:

💛 Identify and name big emotions
🌿 Use calming skills when feelings run high
💬 Talk about what they're feeling

The workshop is built on the A Little SPOT of Feelings curriculum, and every family takes home a book and activities to keep the conversation going.

POV: The owner and team lead decide to cover the barista lead position because… how hard could making TWO drinks possibly be? 😂☕️

Steffanie: Campfire S’more Latte 🔥🍫
Destiny: Candy Apple Matcha 🍎🍵
Mel, our Barista Lead: immediately regretting letting us behind the bar. 😂

A few key takeaways:

1. Confidence does NOT equal barista skills. 🤦🏻‍♀️
2. Our baristas make this look WAY too easy.
3. Mel has the patience of a saint. 😇
4. We will NEVER question how long a drink takes again. 😂

We were confused. We were humbled. Mel’s facial expressions told the entire story. 😂

But somehow… WE MADE THE DRINKS. 👏☕️

Huge appreciation for Mel and our entire café team because we officially understand that we should probably stick to our day jobs. 😂
