I need your opinions! 👻🎃

These two little ghosts are looking a bit plain and need some floral decorations before they head off for glazing. I have another one with an orange pumpkin currently in the kiln, but I'm stuck trying to decide which flowers would look best on these two.

I'm leaning toward the pink and purple flowers for the ghost with the pink pumpkin, but I'd love to hear what you think!

Once the flowers are added, they'll get a little Mother of Pearl magic ✨ to give them that extra glow.

Which flowers would you choose?

I think the pink/purple flowers with the pink pumpkin will look beautiful, especially once the MOP is added. ✨

How are you all doing out there? Holding up in this storm?

I'm embracing it and glazing by lantern light.

Is my power out? No.

Is this just an excuse to bring out my antique oil lamps and fairy lamps? That's a big yes.

Are these pieces even going to look good? That's questionable.

Are the kittens tucked safely in their carriers and the kids lounging around with their shoes on waiting for the basement sprint? 10-4.

Is Tawney on official storm watch duty? Absolutely. No one can get her off the sun porch, so we might as well give her a title.

For now, we're riding it out with glowing lamps, cozy vibes, and one very dedicated weather supervisor.

🐄 June 30 – On the Farm at Mokey's (Danville) Spend an evening getting creative as we enjoy a charcuterie box and glaze adorable farm animals, including cows, chickens, and pigs. A perfect night out for animal lovers and crafty folks alike!

Well... my custom butter dishes arrived yesterday!

Was I expecting them yesterday? Nope.
Was it a pleasant surprise? Heck yeah!
Are they exactly what I expected? Also nope.
Am I still going to pour them? Absolutely!

For those who don't know, I've been trying to recreate a vintage butter dish mold. The originals are getting harder and harder to find, and if you do find one, you're often looking at $200+ for half a mold unless you get incredibly lucky.

Thanks to all of you, I was able to have this mold set made! And because I'm an overachiever, I bought 3 sets. 😂

The only downside so far is that they're larger than the vintage version we were trying to replicate. The upside? If you've been looking for a butter dish that can actually handle those big 1-pound blocks of butter, I may have just the thing for you!

I'll know more in about an hour once I get a chance to test it out.

And yes, there is a kitten in the photo for scale because apparently that's how measurements work around here now. 🐱🧈
