2 sessions and already showing excellent clearance — especially impressive on Asian skin, which can be more sensitive and reactive during laser treatments. Lighter skin types often fade quickly, but darker and mixed‑melanin skin requires careful energy selection, controlled spacing between sessions, and strict safety protocols to protect the epidermis while breaking down ink efficiently.

I work with all skin types, and every treatment plan is customized — wavelength choice, fluence, spot size, cooling, and aftercare are adjusted to keep the skin safe while maximizing fading. These results show what happens when the laser is used correctly, conservatively, and with respect for how different skin tones respond.

Every week at Eraserhead, people come to me carrying tattoos they got during the hardest, most chaotic moments of their lives. Some of these images are hateful — and they’re painful reminders of who they used to be, not who they are now.

I remove these tattoos for free, because everyone deserves a chance to walk away from hate and step toward something better.

I’m sharing these images so Brattleboro can see the truth:
There is real hurt in our community, and there are people fighting every day to leave that hurt behind.
They regret these symbols. They want to rejoin normal society. They want to heal.

Thank you, Brattleboro, for giving me the chance to help them change their lives. Every removal is a step toward hope.

Cover‑ups can absolutely be removed — even ones like this that originally said “river.” When a tattoo is covered with new artwork, the old ink doesn’t disappear; it’s still sitting underneath the newer pigment in a deeper layer of the dermis. As removal progresses, the original tattoo almost always shows through first because the laser breaks down the top layer of ink before it reaches the older, deeper layer beneath it.

That’s why you’ll see the cover‑up fade, then the buried word or design reappear, and then both layers gradually clear. It’s a normal part of the process, not a setback.

With Opti‑Pulse technology, my laser fires two half‑pulses back‑to‑back, giving the pigment a moment to destabilize before the second pulse hits. That micro‑split second makes a huge difference — it helps break apart stacked ink layers more efficiently and with less trauma to the skin.

This is why dense cover‑ups, layered designs, and old‑over‑new tattoos respond so well here. If you’ve got a cover‑up hiding something you don’t want anymore, I can clear both layers safely and predictably.

Fresh tattoos can absolutely be removed — you just need to wait a minimum of 3 months after getting the ink so the skin can fully heal. A lot of removal shops struggle with fresh pigment because new ink sits dense, tight, and unbroken in the dermis. That makes it harder for standard lasers to fracture.

At Eraserhead, I use Opti‑Pulse technology, which fires two half‑pulses back‑to‑back in a micro‑split second. That tiny separation gives the pigment a moment to destabilize before the second pulse hits, allowing the ink to shatter more efficiently and with less trauma to the skin.

This is why fresh tattoos — even ones that are bold, dark, and newly settled — respond so well here. Opti‑Pulse lets me break apart stubborn new pigment that other shops often can’t touch.

If you’ve got a tattoo you regret right away, you don’t have to wait years for it to fade. Once you hit that 3‑month mark, I can start clearing it safely and effectively.
