We're in our T-UND-I era ... catch Tristan und Isolde at Wagner in Vermont 2026, August 14-19, Brattleboro VT, and fall in love all over again.

WAGNER IN VERMONT returns in 2026 after outstanding success mounting their first Ring Cycle last August.

Taking place August 14-19 at The Latchis Theatre, Brattleboro VT, the 2026 festival will be bookended by a new production of Tristan und Isolde, the opera with which it all started. Each show will have its own unique interpretation, with a ‘darker’ version on August 14th in the evening, and a ‘lighter’ version on August 19th as a matinee.
Also joining our main stage productions are both Der Fliegende Holländer on August 16th, closely followed by Act Two of Parsifal on August 17th.

The rest of the week will be filled with festival events, including lectures and talks, staged scenes showcases by our cover cast, a Liederabend, and a new fully-staged interpretation of Unshielded: The story of Wotan and Brünnhilde adapted from Der Ring des Nibelungen.

Introducing our next round of characters for Wagner in Vermont 2026!

> Roseanne Ackerley (Sieglinde & Freia '25) returns to the role of Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde - the role she took in the very first Wagner in Vermont in 2019.

> Karl Buttermann (Gunther '25) will take on the role of Kurwenal in Tristan und Isolde.

> Kirk Eichelberger (Hagen '25) will play both King Marke in Tristan und Isolde and Daland in Der fliegende Holländer.

> Aaron Engebreth (Festival Artist '24) takes on Klingsor in Parsifal Act II.
