Today (8/21) is the last day to guarantee a dorm room at the Romp! Register today, request dorm housing, and mail your dorm key deposit check with today's postmark and you will definitely have a room.

If we get your dorm request after 8/21 and rooms are still available, you may still be able to get a room. But we can't promise that, so register today!

Potash Hill is an idyllic Vermont campus with beautiful, well-kept dorm rooms, including a few accessible rooms. The cost for attending the Romp is all-inclusive and there is no additional charge for dorm rooms.

Dorms are first-come, first-served, so register now if you want one! (If you miss out, tenting and commuting are possible.)

STAFF PROFILE: Steve Zakon-Anderson is a New Hampshire chef, dance organizer, and dance caller with a deep passion for our local traditions and decades of experience providing delicious meals for music and dance events.

Steve infuses his friendly food expertise with laughter and fellowship in the Romp kitchen and specializes in meeting a range of needs, tastes, and preferences with every meal. If you have special dietary needs, Chef Steve is experienced with accommodating food restrictions and will do his best to ensure that you have what you need at each meal.

Meals are a big part the Romp community experience. Everyone is included! But we cannot accommodate drop-ins. Registration deadlines are 8/21 (for dorm reservations) and 8/28 (for tenters, commuters, and day passes). Join us!

STAFF PROFILE ~ AMANDA WITMAN: Amanda is a singer, song leader, instrumentalist, and event organizer. Her love of harmony infuses her singing and playing. She is an advocate for inclusive, community-based music where players and singers at all levels are encouraged and supported.

Amanda leads the monthly 3rd Saturday Brattleboro Pub Sing, which she founded in 2011 with legendary Brattleboro singer, Tony Barrand. She helps organize the annual Northern Roots Festival and teaches a Singers Workshop at the Brattleboro Music Center . Since 2015, she has performed with Vermont-based quartet Big Woods Voices, presenting detailed, original art arrangements of poetry and other songs. She taught at Pinewoods music/dance camp this summer and performed at the CT Sea Music Festival earlier this year. But her favorite thing is just sitting around with a few friends and swapping songs, wherever and whenever.

STAFF PROFILE ~ PETER SIEGEL: Educator and founding member of The Gaslight Tinkers , Peter's music is deeply rooted in American traditions, yet spans the globe. Over the years he's shared the stage and been mentored by folks like Pete Seeger, Jay Unger and Molly Mason, Utah Phillips, and Noel Paul Stookey. He was a bandmate of bluegrass powerhouse Michael Daves and poet Alicia Jo Rabins in the 90's "New Old Time" band Underbelly, which the Berkshire Eagle called "a supergroup of New England talent." Peter also contributed and recorded on the Grammy award winning Pete Seeger album, "Tomorrow's Children," and has published songs in Sing Out! magazine and the fiddle tune compilation, The Portland Collection.

As as educator, Peter has been teaching in the public schools and writing songs and theatrical productions with children for the last 20 years, as well as being a contributing writer to The George Lucas Foundation site Edutopia on social curriculum and music educational practices. His Symonds School CD Peace Place won a Parents Choice Award in 2012.
