Disney is reportedly not moving forward with their live-action “Gargoyles” project.

Back in 2023 Disney+ announced they were working with writer Gary Dauberman and James Wan’s Atomic Monster to develop a live-action version of the classic Disney animated series, which aired from 1994 to 1997.

Greg Weisman, co-creator of the original series said, “That’s dead,” when asked by ComicsOnline about the project. “I have no idea about animation, but there are no current plans for live-action.”

Weisman was not directly involved in the live-action reboot, but a source close to the project confirmed its “dead” status to Variety.

Gal Gadot believes she’s hung up the Lasso of Truth for good.

While on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, the DCEU actress cast doubt on whether she’d do a third Wonder Woman film.

“For me to go to do another Wonder Woman, I am not sure I would at this point in my life with four children and different schools and all of that,” Gadot said. “To check out from all of them for such a long period of time, it doesn’t work for my life anymore at this point.”

Director Patty Jenkins was developing an idea for “Wonder Woman 3” when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and the world of the DCEU came to a quick conclusion.

“I saw the way everybody else was handled. The Henry [Cavill] situation was not handled elegantly to say the least. Patty [Jenkins] was not handled elegantly. We’re all adults and we’re all good,” Gadot said on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast about the transfer of DC Studios power. “I am so grateful I got the opportunity to wear these boots and have the character be so celebrated. I can only wish whoever is next comes pure to this journey. This character means so much to so many of us. It was never mine. I was always just a vessel. This is Hollywood.”

The Estate of global icon Dolly Parton announced today that the official Team Dolly-produced celebration in Parton’s honor, DOLLYFEST, will take place in Nashville, Tennessee and London, England - across two consecutive weekends - in 2027.

What was originally planned as a multi-artist event for January 2026 in Nashville and intended to feature Parton as performer and host, will now morph into a global double-day, double-weekend, double-continent party of a lifetime.

“What Dolly started, we will ensure is brought to life,” states Danny Nozell, Founder/CEO of CTK Enterprises. “Many people behind the scenes know that DOLLYFEST is a dream of Dolly’s that was intended to take place on her 80th birthday in Nashville. We had the venue booked and we had the announcement ready to go. And then, in August 2025, Dolly had to take a step back after her initial health challenges. A lot of people always say, WWDD (What Would Dolly Do?), and, well, at this moment, DOLLYFEST is WDWD (What Dolly Would Do!).”

While the Estate acknowledges the anticipated events, shows, and programs this fall that will honor Parton, DOLLYFEST will be the party of a lifetime she wanted to share with the world.

“We are not discouraging people from celebrating Dolly in the ways they choose,” says Nozell. “However, as far as a traditional memorial goes, that is not something Dolly wanted. So, instead, it feels more appropriate for us to take a beat, let all the tributes that immediately make sense occur naturally, and then, see through this festival-style concept that was truly dreamed up by Dolly. This is something that is authentic to her, something that feels right to me, and something that artists and fans around the world can participate in, while also giving everyone time to grieve, and giving everyone time to plan.”

Straight out of a comic book, a truck carrying IDW Publishing comics crashed in the forest while in their way to distribution.

“A truck carrying several of our comics was involved in an accident while en route to distribution. Most importantly: no one was hurt. The comics, however, were not so lucky. They were pretty thoroughly decimated by the forest,” IDW Publishing shared via their page. “Unfortunately, that means the following titles will not arrive for their originally scheduled on-sale date:
• Event Horizon: Inferno #5
• Sonic x Godzilla #2
• Star Trek 60th Anniversary
• TMNT: Journeys #13
