The official page for The Shepherd of the Hills Historic Tours & Sites, Thurman Old Mill Theatre, Playhouse Dinner Theater Shows, and Shepherd’s Adventure Park. Based on the bestselling 1907 book by Harold Bell Wright, this is the actual location where the book was written. There's the famous outdoor drama, a reenactment of the book featuring 90 actors and actresses, 40 horses and a herd of sheep.

This beautiful story is an action packed, time tested favorite! We have our new Shepherd’s Adventure Park with the Copperhead Mountain Coaster, Vigilante Extreme ZipRider, Ropes Course and Zipline Canopy Tours! Also, if you come to the Farm, check out Inspiration Tower, guided farm & backstage tours, Lil’ Pete’s Playland and more. We have dinner shows going on year round in the Playhouse Theatre including the Million Dollar Quartet, Whodunnit Hoedown Murder Mystery,
and The Great American Chuckwagon Dinner Show. In November and December, the historic homestead is transformed into a holiday wonderland with the Trail of Lights and the North Pole Adventure. We would love to be a part of your visit to Branson!

We recently had the distinct honor of welcoming a true American hero to The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama.

World War II veteran Sam Seizert joined us for an evening beneath the stars—and he is preparing to celebrate an incredible milestone: his 100th birthday!

Sam, thank you for your courage, your service and the sacrifices you made for our country. It was a privilege to share a piece of Ozarks history with someone who has lived through so much of our nation’s history.

Please join us in thanking Sam for his service and wishing him a very happy 100th birthday! 🇺🇸
