CAST SPOTLIGHT: Jacob Nelson
Jacob is originally from Mediaopolis, Iowa (near Burlington) and he moved to Branson in 2018 to pursue a career in music. Jacob is also one of the original cast members of The Sound of Simon and Garfunkel - now performing in his 3rd season with the show.

Performing in The Sound of Simon and Garfunkel and Back to The Bee Gees marks Jacob’s return to Hamners’ Variety Theater after playing in O Happy Day as well as select musical performances with Pastor Dave Hamner’s Branson Gospel Sundays.
Jacob also spent six months serving as a missionary in Australia! Recently, he married the love of his life, Katelyn. The two got engaged on stage at Hamners’ Variety Theater after a performance of The Sound of Simon and Garfunkel and they recently celebrated six months of married bliss. 💍
To know Jacob is to love him. On stage talent aside, he is incredibly kind, hard-working, and a genuinely caring person. He’s also an EXPERT joke-teller 🤪. The talent he brings to the show speaks for itself. He is, undoubtedly, one the BEST guitarists/bassists in town and he brings charm, energy, and charisma every time he steps on the stage. He’s also always cold, so you’ll likely see him on stage layered up with a jacket. 🥶😂
Jacob’s dedication to his craft is unmatched and we are ECSTATIC that he is lending his many talents to Back to the Bee Gees this year! We feel fortunate to have such an amazing talent in our production! 🪩
