SMart FEST

SMart FEST smART FEST features unique arts and crafts, raising funds for Wreaths Across America. The fund-raiser started small, as a project by Eagle Scout, Mark Hally.

The annual fall show takes place on the grounds of the Branford, Connecticut Town Hall Green. smART Fest is the main fund-raiser for Wreaths Across America (Branford Cemeteries). With the encouragement and hands on help of his parents, Mary and Matt Hally, it has become a juried, amazing market of talented Connecticut artisans. The booth fees paid by the artisans are donated 100% to Wreaths Across

America! Mark is now a firefighter for the city of Torrington, but he remains committed to this cause for his home town. Come visit one of Connecticut's premier artisan markets every year on the last Saturday of September!

Now that we are taking a deep breath with the new knowledge that smART FEST will be on hiatus until September of 2027, we are very grateful to announce that Kim Mucha of Crafters Care, is generously making Wreaths Across America - Branford Cemeteries, the designated beneficiary of donations at their June event at Rose Orchards in North Branford!

It is with great frustration and sadness, that we are unable to plan smART FEST, once again, on the Branford Green. Due to changes in the town administration and their continued discussions on planning improvements, we have been advised that no events will be approved on the Green until 2027. Their current goal is to have all work done by the end of the summer this year, but in order for the grounds to flourish and take hold with their plantings, it must remain unused through the end of 2026.

We are not giving up! The Hally family is monitoring the progress and you will have updates as soon as we have information to share.
