An unforgettable evening with the The Sarasota Ballet at their May 1 performance of “Foundations of Royalty.”

Experiences like this are an important part of how we train dancers. Students in our higher-level programs receive opportunities to attend professional ballet performances as part of their complete, well-rounded dance education — because great dancers are also thoughtful artists, audience members, and students of the art form itself.

Training beyond the classroom.

Our upper-level dancers had the opportunity to learn from guest ballet artist Julia Corbin a few weeks ago — part of the specialized training experiences included in our higher-level programs at no additional cost. We believe dancers grow best when they’re exposed to a variety of professional voices, styles, and experiences throughout their training.

Starting dance shouldn’t feel overwhelming.

Our $10 Intro Class gives new dancers the chance to step into the studio, try their first ballet and jazz class, and see what training at The Dance Center is all about.

This intro class leads into our 9-week Fundamentals Interim Program, where beginners can build balance, coordination, musicality, and confidence in a structured environment—without the pressure of jumping straight into a June performance.

When the 9 weeks are complete, dancers who love it can continue into our year-round programs.
