I love finding these little salamanders in the woods, they have always felt magical to me, like a little gift. It’s often these experiences outdoors that inspires my printmaking. I have made a yellow spotted salamander but I might need a cute little orange one too 🧡

I love making functional art, these linoleum print patches are almost identical but not quite, each printed twice from different spots of my larger eucalyptus block. Can you spot the one I somehow printed backwards? Still not sure how I pulled that off 😂 and I think it’s my favorite one, haha, happy mistake.

Each one is destined to become a hat! Check out my block printed hats on etsy! MorganTartakoff.etsy.com

This spring I took a job on a whim working on a veggie and flower garden in Brandon VT. It was something I did in my high school/ college years and loved it. It turns out I still love it and it’s been great for creative inspiration 🤍

Is anyone else obsessed with these little salamanders?! We moved to Vermont last fall and this spring I found out these cute little yellow spotted salamanders can be found here so naturally they became a fun little obsession of mine. I found lots of other species of salamander but not these. Have you ever found one? Post a picture and the location!

And naturally I needed to make a block print 😆 you can find this adult hat on my Etsy (there is a kid sized one too!) MorganTartakoff.etsy.com

A lot of my inspirations come from the forest and gardens I love walking in. These are the places I find peace.

I have had a few people ask what type of ferns my block prints are inspired from so here they are, and I believe they have the common name of wood ferns which are quite common in the forests of the north east (at least in MA, CT, VT)!
