What a wonderful morning of West Virginia music!
Listeners joined us for a special broadcast from the 2026 Fly Away Home Fest at Glenwood Park in Princeton, celebrating the life and legacy of Bluegrass legend and West Virginia Music Hall of Fame member Hazel Dickens.
We opened the show with the incredible Annie Neely, joined by bassist Dave Kirkpatrick and fiddle virtuoso Alasha Al-Qudwah, sharing beautiful mountain music rooted in Appalachian tradition.
For the second half of the program, the Mill Creek Cronies brought their signature blend of Bluegrass and traditional mountain music from Fayette County, showcasing the rich musical heritage of Central West Virginia.
