Raritan Valley Community College is excited to present our production of Songs for a New World, a musical by Jason Robert Brown, on April 24, . The event will feature performances by RVCC music and theatre students. Tickets will be available at box office outside the Welpe Theatre.

GIVE TO THE RVCC APPLIED MUSIC FUND!
This Thursday, March 26 is Raritan Valley Community College’s annual Giving Day. Through this, you can contribute directly to RVCC’s Applied Music Fund, which has been used to fund concert trips, purchase of musical instruments and several small scholarships—and which recently made it possible for 5 of our voice majors to take part in the regional NATS competition—where, competing against singers from 4-year programs, they won, tied or placed in 3 different divisions! The Arts & Design Department invites you to our Music Faculty Recital this Sunday, March 1st, 2:30 pm in the Welpe Theatre. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors, RVCC faculty and RVCC staff, and FREE for students with ID.
This years program features jazz standards, modern classical works, electronic music and rock songs, performed by Alexandra Joan, John Sichel and Jeremy Sweet, piano, Laura Oltman and Michael Newman, classical guitar and Jennifer Ketrow, voice and electric guitar. Come see some featured works from our own RVCC Dance students as well. We can’t wait to see you there!

This Sunday, November 9th, please join esteemed RVCC faculty pianist Abraham Alinea for an inspiring afternoon of solo piano music featuring works by Beethoven, Schumann, Chopin, and Messiaen. This event, which is open to the community, will be held in Welpe Theater at the College’s Branchburg Campus.

This captivating program will showcase passion, virtuosity, and timeless masterworks. Tickets are available upon entry at box office, located outside the Welpe Theatre. General Admission tickets cost $15 each, $10 for seniors; students will be admitted free of charge.

The RVCC Music Program invites you to Liederabend: An Evening of German Art Song on Friday, November 7 at 7 PM in the Welpe Theatre.

A Liederabend (pronounced LEE-der-ah-bent) is an informal evening dedicated to the performance of German art songs, showcasing the musical settings of poetry by esteemed composers such as Schubert, Schumann, and Wolf. This program highlights the profound expressive union of text and music within an intimate recital setting.

This year’s event will feature students of Dr. Will Berman and Sarah Stine, with Dr. Alexandra Joan accompanying on piano. We invite you to attend and support our talented student vocalists as they bring this timeless repertoire to life.

Huge congrats to all our music students who are graduating tomorrow with their Associate of Fine Arts with a concentration in music degrees! 🎉 It’s amazing to see so many talented individuals reaching this milestone. What’s even more exciting is seeing the diverse paths they’re all taking – some are diving straight into their careers, while others are continuing their education at four-year schools. We’re so proud of each and every one of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish! 🎶🎓 A special shoutout to our chorale, who have the amazing opportunity to sing the National Anthem at graduation! 🎤🇺🇸

Raritan Valley Community College’s Student Jazz Ensemble will perform this Thursday, May 8th, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will include pieces by Benny Golson, Sonny Rollins, Horace Silver, Duke Ellington, and many more. It will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

The RVCC music students are performing TOMORROW, Saturday, May 3rd, at the Welpe Theatre in Raritan Valley Community College’s Branchburg campus. The instrument recital is at 1:30 p.m., and the voice recital is at 4 p.m., featuring solos and quartets from different instruments and vocalists.
