Pitt-Bradford Arts

Pitt-Bradford Arts Pitt-Bradford Arts represents any and all Arts activities on campus at the University of Pittsburgh

While Pitt-Bradford's arts encompass the entire campus, the arts and communication building is home to most events based in theater, music, and art. Blaisdell Hall, the university's fine arts and communication arts building, is home for the arts on our campus. But the building also serves as the region's center for the arts. The building is also home to the Division of Communication and the Arts,

which includes communications, public relations and theater, and the disciplines of art and music. The building, which was completed in April 2004, provides state-of-the-art features that will allow you to foster your creativity in each of these areas. Inside you will find cutting-edge lighting and sound booths, a professionally equipped television studio, a radio production suite, a 1,000-square-foot art gallery and art studios designed for painting, printmaking and graphic design. Blaisdell Hall also houses a music theory and technology studio, giving you access to digital technology in the area of music, and a music listening lab to help you analyze music in a quiet space using sophisticated equipment. Blaisdell Hall also houses the Bromeley Family Theater, a technologically advanced 500-seat theater, which can be positioned into different theater arrangements to accommodate various types of performances.
