Greetings young thespians and families of young thespians!
I am excited to direct the 2026 Old Church Theater Summer Youth Production! This year we are going to tackle a melodrama, in true melodrama style with all of the over-acting and audience participation. It will be VERY fun!
AUDITIONS for actors ages 10 - 18
Saturday & Sunday, May 30 & 31 from 1 - 3 pm
REHEARSALS -- M-Th 6-8 beginning June 22
(a detailed schedule will be given out -- not all actors will be needed at every rehearsal and of course, I will allow for some absences for vacations, etc.)
PERFORMANCES -- weekends of August 14-16 & 21-23
It all takes place at the Bradford Academy (the BA)
172 N. Main Street, Bradford, VT 05033
In addition to actors, we will need:
an ACCOMPANIST (to provide all of that dramatic piano music which is every bit as important as the set and actors!!),
a TECH DIRECTOR & CREW
a STAGE MANAGER
and lots of WESTERN GARB, including 10 gallon cowboy hats.
Spread the word. Invite your friends. And as always, I will be using gender-flexible casting. If you would like to be a part of the show but are not available for auditions, please contact me prior to May 30 and we will set something up!
