The Habitat is the private home of Ken and Heather Settlemyer who are passionate about the importance of nurturing both local plant and animal wildlife and independent musicians. We are proud to maintain over 1/4 acre of wilderness within a city environment, providing much needed habitat for a variety of native species. We plant only native species and manage and eliminate the non native species i

n that area.We are delighted to play host, not just to excellent musicians, but to a plethora of beautiful butterflies. The Habitat is by invitation (message for info and directions if needed), BYOB and a there is a recommended donation for the musician/musicians. Food to share is always welcomed, but not required. We look forward to seeing our friends at The Habitat!

Good morning! It's a beautiful day to celebrate the life of Steve Huntington! 2 pm at Laishley Park Pavillion in Punta Gorda. Please bring your own chair if you have one. For those that flew in, we've got chairs for you. Reminder that there will be both a food truck and pizza. Please don't bring your own food. You can byob, although the food truck (Smashburgers) will have non alcoholic drinks and there is a wine table! Many thanks to the many hands that have organized this day for our friend. See you soon.

We want to thank everyone who nominated The Habitat for TRMA House Concert venue of the year! But we have a request. As you are voting for the finalists, we most importantly want you to consider voting for the Steve Huntington Show (radio show - recorded) this year, and recognize him for his lifetime of service to our musical world and how he really cared for the music and brought the deep cuts to the listeners with his show. We would love to see a TRMA wave award brought home to his wife Chris.
