Set in 1191 AD during the Third Crusade, disgraced master assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Philip Shahbaz) is tasked by his mentor, Al Mualim (Peter Renaday), to redeem his honor by eliminating nine key targets across the Holy Land. As Altaïr travels between Masyaf, Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus, he is assisted by fellow assassin Malik A-Sayf (Haaz Sleiman) while being challenged by his rival, Robert de Sablé (Jean-Philippe Vitini). In the modern day, bartender Desmond Miles (Nolan North) has been kidnapped by the mysterious Abstergo Industries, led by Dr. Warren Vidic (Philip Proctor) and his assistant Lucy Stillman (Kristen Bell). Using a machine called the Animus, they force Desmond to relive Altaïr’s genetic memories to locate an ancient artifact of immense power. As the lines between past and present blur, Altaïr begins to question the true motives of both his targets and his Order.
