We have so many beautiful and talented people who run businesses and provide services locally and I would like to shout out and have everybody mention local graphic artist and designers so we don’t have everyone services being advertised via the same looking AI menus and mock ups, and flyers🙅‍♂️🚫.

Tag artist/ graphic designer or menu maker and share this post to help preserve our water and show them that we have no interest in their AI or datacenters coming any closer to us because we lean on each other🤝‼️.

Florida is ordering Flock cameras removed from state roads over privacy concerns.‼️‼️

“The purpose of this memorandum is to notify local law enforcement agencies of updates related to the Florida Department of Transportation’s (Department) authority regarding the placement or use of automated license plate recognition systems (LPR) within the right of way of a road on the State Highway System by local agencies.” following a review by Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration.

Today’s FDOT order is not a statewide ban on Flock or ALPR cameras. It revokes permits for ALPR systems located within state highway rights-of-way and gives the affected agencies 30 days to remove them. The remaining cameras that are operated will be by private entities such as HOA’s and private businesses or local governments.

941 COMMUNITY ISSUE🗣️: Manatee county commissioners on Tuesday 8/25/26 voted not to approve the installing of Flock License Plate readers at county facilities, parks, or buildings.

The commissioners shared their opinions and concerns on the matter with there being a common consensus that left unregulated, this could be a privacy issue. Bob McAnn even made reference to an instance of flock abuse by Sarasota police and requested FULL transparency about the data flock and departments collects also saying “I would like to get rid of the Flock cameras. Hey, I got rid of the school cameras.”

Tal Saddique went as far to say “so be it” in regards to the county paying for the removal of any devices found on county,property,parks, and parking lots. Jason Bearden had the toughest stance saying that he sees the china/mass surveillance fine line being very close to stepped on.

It was made clear that though they lack the power to stop private companies, properties, HOA’s and the sheriffs department from making these deals with flock they will use the power they have at the county level.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County recently celebrated 80 years since its founding in 1946 by the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton. The Kiwanis helped establish the original clubhouse, built its gymnasium in 1951, funded branch expansions, and continues to support youth programs through ongoing volunteer efforts and fundraisers like annual Christmas tree sales.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County serves more than 2,500 young people across their locations, with overall community outreach and programs over 6,000 children and teens in the area. Overall they have seen more than 40,000 children and teens through its doors.
