shadows cast of foretold love

I should have had the sixth sense
let histories let down let me me down easy
instead I drew a bath to make a splash
candles to seal the deal now it's real
flower petals strewn across the bed
but pillow to catch tears instead of his head
withered untouched still portrait of pain
shut the door till dust do pour
winds of time down hallway roar
and I never left, left the place he left
the walls they watch watch the watch that stopped
or was it my hearts stop
stopped in that moment we could've heard a pin drop
echoing along forgone heartbeats drums
drums hollow sound hollow room
what a ghastly tomb
blowing sands across wood floor undanced floor
where I would have twirled on his two fingers
fingers touch ever lingers they couldn't hold
hold me when I was cold cold the feeling I can't unown
staring down the hall of the house that owns
the room to the right not right
hope wasn't supposed to be the only thing within grown
staring just long enough at hope
I can almost see the face of seeds unsown
loves unknowns but maybe if I see, then I can find
resolution in the of loss my divine
so I seek truth in a mirror stare into fear
horrors of that day ever replay
desperation reaching to hold a face that pulls away
the pain begging me to beg him to stay
stay without him I couldn't stay
and as the scene ends, ends the end
as I run to where I began, began again in a room with no end
down hallway on a mirror with no reflection to be
absence of me in addition to a him I'll never see
and worse than seeing nothing instead of me
I turn to keep walking down the hall
keep watching him
watching him leave
leave
I can't
