Fire season is making it tough to be outdoors. Thinking of everyone who is being impacted by fires around the country and the world…I know I shouldn’t complain about smoke when others are losing their homes and communities.
I got a few more layers added to a couple paintings while I’m stuck inside…art making makes the hours fly by. .

Did you know some butterflies have little hearts in their wings or that there are photo receptors in the ge****ls?!!! Those enable the females to know where to lay their eggs. Um yeah…so that’s cool!
Butterflies have been finding their way into my paintings over the last month so I’m studying up on them.
A few more layers and more tinkering to do but they’re fluttering along on their journey.

Loved my visit to the in yesterday for their Brickyard Bash! So many amazing artists…a few favorites currently on exhibit there are Amy Sanders, Samuel Sarmiento and Abbey Peters. The Bray Foundation does an epic job of supporting ceramic artists from all over the world with residencies. ❤️❤️❤️

If you are going through Helena, MT it’s absolutely a must see if you’re an art lover.
