The Daredevil is coming to Tinworks at Rialto on June 12 and 13! Get your tickets at the link in our bio.

Written and performed by John Henry Haseltine, this one-person play chronicles the career and legacy of an anonymous motorcycle-jumping daredevil from Butte, Montana, who attempts to launch himself over a canyon in a steam-powered rocket craft.

A hand-crafted, maximalist folk art theater piece about American myth, exceptionalism, and the very real consequences of a faulty parachute deployment system.

Last chance: tickets are going fast for our second Film School event, a screening of Heaven’s Gate (1979), Michael Cimino’s sweeping 1892 Western about the Johnson County War in Wyoming, when wealthy cattle barons hired mercenaries to kill European settlers.

The evening features an introduction by Tina Buckingham, a Bozeman-based award-winning casting director whose credits include “The Patriot,” “The Old Way,” and the TV series “1923.” One of her first movie experiences was on the set of “Heaven’s Gate” itself.

Starring Kris Kristofferson, Isabelle Huppert, Christopher Walken, Jeff Bridges, and John Hurt. Rated R. 3h 39min with intermission. Free for students with a valid school ID.

Film School is a recurring film screening and lecture series pairing landmark works of cinema with short, accessible presentations from local filmmakers and technicians. Each event highlights a specific technical or creative innovation within the film—illuminating the craft behind the art—and connects it to the work being done by regional professionals today.
