After days of work, the new dagger blade looks great, though it still needs heat-treating. The buoy is coming along well with sharp bevels and plunge lines, ready for a guard and handle with a fresh design idea to complete the look.

We’re using three multi-bar twist bars for a dynamic pattern. I’ll chop, weld, and forge them, adding a fish mouth weld to highlight the pattern.

I made a mistake with the slot and need to thin the ears, but they’ll be too thin. I'll weld round stock to fix it. After some errors, the knife doesn't look right. I'll try to fix it, but if not, I'll move on to a new project.

I found a flaw in the forge weld while cleaning the tang and will use 10/90 16th-inch square rod to fix it. After testing and annealing, I’ll file and sand the area, aiming for a parallel spine and a smooth finish.

The guard is almost squared, so I'll start the layout and rough grinding below the ricasso. Using a work rest for precision and a clamp to fix a small gap. With the 220 grit disc sander, it's now perfectly flat and ready for the next steps.

I'm crafting my first master bladesmith knife with a Damascus pattern inspired by an Indian gun barrel. Using two 15-layer billets with different steels, I’ll twist, forge weld, and shape them into a complex, integral bolster chef's knife. 🔪🔥

Despite completing four pieces, I still had to finish the critical dagger, which required meticulous attention, including handling unexpected challenges with 14 karat gold wire that oxidized during preparation.

This induction forge quickly heats steel for forging in under a minute, much faster than gas forges. It's a versatile tool for precise heating and alloy experimentation, quieter than traditional forges, making it ideal for residential use.

Starting with an angled cut to avoid excess MIG bead, I'm elongating the tang and refining the blade before finalizing the handle.

I overlooked the slot size and now need to slim down the ears for a hidden tang handle. Despite grinding setbacks, Continue watching to know why I'm stopping this project after nearly four years, inspired by a Damascus pattern from India.

I found a forge weld flaw in the tang area and will use 1090 rod as filler. After annealing and hardening, I'll file and sand for a smooth finish. Piercings are hand-sanded to 220 grit, and I might go finer.
