When to book Florida fireworks: 30 vs 60 vs 90+ days.
If you're planning a Florida wedding fireworks show in the next six months, the calendar matters more than most couples realize.
Permits are the bottleneck. Not budget, not equipment, not the show itself. The Authority Having Jurisdiction needs time to review your application, and that timeline shifts dramatically depending on where you're firing.
Mainland Florida: 30 days is the legal minimum, 60 is comfortable. We use that extra month to run venue surveys, secure your COI, and lock crew without anyone scrambling.
Florida Keys over-water: 60 days is the floor and 90 is realistic. Anything fired over Keys waters needs FKNMS (Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary) clearance plus Coast Guard coordination. Both add weeks. Both can deny applications that arrive late.
Translation: if your wedding is in August, you're already past comfortable in the Keys and right at the line on the mainland.
