"Perks of Percussion" will be such a fun and educational experience! We’re looking forward to welcoming students to this unique and engaging show. 🥁

A new educational concert is coming to SKYPAC this September, and it's not your typical music field trip. 🎶

Orchestra Kentucky of Bowling Green presents "Perks of Percussion" — a lively concert that invites school groups from across the region to experience the full, vibrant world of percussion. From familiar beats to sounds you've never heard before, our Orchestra Kentucky musicians will show students how rhythm and music can engage every sense.

We would like to give a special welcome to Joseph Trafton, who officially begins this week as the new Music Director of Orchestra Kentucky of Bowling Green! 🎶

As only the second Music Director in Orchestra Kentucky's history, following the remarkable leadership and contributions of founding Music Director Jeff Reed, Joseph is ready to build on that strong foundation and continue the orchestra's impact on our community.

A Bowling Green native, Joseph has conducted orchestras around the world, most recently in Germany. Now, he's thrilled to be back home and take his place on the podium here in South Central Kentucky. We are so happy to have him!

His first official concert in this new role will be A Magical, Musical & Aerial Extravaganza featuring America's Got Talent alum Janice Martin on Saturday, August 22. Let's show up and show out for Joseph as he begins this exciting new chapter and help us give him a warm Bowling Green welcome!
