Orchestra Kentucky mourns the loss of Helen Motter, one of the founders of the orchestra back in 2000. She served as concertmaster for several years. Everyone who knew her knew of her kindness. In addition to studying violin in London, England, she was an author of several books as well as a book editor. The orchestra family will miss her.

It was a special, heartfelt morning as we officially "Passed the Baton" to Orchestra Kentucky of Bowling Green & Ramsey Theatre Company's new Music Director, Joseph Trafton Jr. 🎶

Jeff Reed founded and led Orchestra Kentucky for 26 remarkable years. The accomplishments, respect, and lasting impact he built for the organization will continue to live on through the strong foundation he created. We are forever thankful for all he has done for this community and for this role, and we know he will continue doing great things as the President & CEO of SKYPAC.

A Bowling Green native, Joseph Trafton attended Warren Central High School before pursuing advanced musical studies and launching an international conducting career spanning more than two decades. Now, he is happy to be home, and Orchestra Kentucky’s future remains bright under his leadership.

Thank you to everyone from the community who joined us this morning to help welcome Joseph, celebrate Jeff and begin this exciting new chapter!

Ramsey Theatre Company and Orchestra Kentucky of Bowling Green present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel, A Concert Saturday, April 25 🎠🎶

We’re spotlighting Jonathan and Hannah Vanderpool, a husband and wife duo taking the stage.

Jonathan brings a long history with Orchestra Kentucky and has appeared in roles like Sky Masterson (Guys and Dolls) and Cornelius (Hello, Dolly!), as well as multiple productions with Ramsey Theatre Company (The Best Gift: A Christmas Carol Musical, Floyd Collins, etc.)

Hannah, a classically trained soprano, has appeared in Ramsey Theatre Company's production of "Beauty and the Beast," "Cinderella", "Floyd Collins," and "The Best Gift: A Christmas Carol Musical."
