LC studied stained glass and restoration in Chicago under Robert Cooper, later expanding her skills in Dallas. These experiences helped her develop a unique style in glass design. Tommy’s Artistic Journey
Tommy star

ted his glass art career in Houston in 1989, first working with copper foil and leaded glass, then moving to fused glass. Mentors in Houston, Galveston, and Atlanta influenced Tommy's growth. He finds glass to be a rewarding and ever-evolving medium. Awards and Artistic Achievements
Throughout the past fifteen years, LC and Tommy have received numerous awards and recognition for their outstanding contributions to glass artistry. One notable achievement was their participation in the Unique by Nature competition, where their work was selected by the City of McKinney, Texas. The city purchased their piece, which is now proudly exhibited in the McKinney Performing Arts Building, showcasing their exceptional craftsmanship. LC and Tommy also collaborated with residents of Ormond Beach to design and create a community mosaic. This meaningful project brought together local artists and citizens to produce a vibrant artwork, which now hangs in the Atrium of Ormond Beach City Hall, serving as a symbol of community spirit and artistic collaboration. Their reputation for innovative glasswork led to a commission from the American Church of Paris. For this project, they crafted a unique baptismal font using fragments of broken glass, blending artistic creativity with spiritual significance. Additionally, their creations are prominently featured in the front lobby of the Ormond Beach Memorial Art Museum and Gardens. The display highlights their continued impact on the art community and underscores their dedication to the craft of glasswork.

LC & Tommy Tobey of Dream Artglass (dreamartglass.com) have created a beautiful and inspiring Sushi Plate tutorial for the upcoming issue of Fused Glass Magazine! Their design is elegant, functional, and the kind of piece you'll be proud to display and use.

Working on a class for the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens using foilage from the gardens that will be fused between two pieces of glass. Testing different types of leaves to see the end results to insure a success full class in the fall. a Huge shout out to Jeanette for collecting the samples.
