Hey there my fellow Inksters! So... Wanted to make a post to answer a question I seem to get quite often. "Why do tattoos cost so much?" The same question that will have you go to, "That friend you know who does tattoos in his kitchin." Apparently this question isn't answered by all artists. I have no clue why. It's not like it's a secret once someone actually stops and thinks on it. Why do tattoo artists charge so much? One reason is time, skill and effort we put into your art. The painstaking time to get your design right. Putting our touch on something that will make us immortal. Another? The tattooing process is LONG and slow. We make sure that you will have the best looking tattoo by taking our time and putting our care into our work. Finger cramps and back pains are a thing ya know? lol. Lastly and, what I assume should be the most thought of; MATERIALS! The materials we use isn't free. from the Boatload of paper towels we use, To the ink, needles, cleaning supplies and items used to make everything sanitary and sterile for your safety. It's not unheard of, for a Tattoo artist to use at least 3 rolls of paper towels for one client. A great way to get a quality tattoo is to purchase materials that will give your clients the best experience. That means, the best ink, that will last you a lifetime. And not for just a summer. The best needles. So we can actually get that quality ink inside your skin. And the list goes on and on. So when you ask that question, "Why do tattoos cost so much?" Think back to this post and remember, They cost because we care about our work and we care about YOU.
